description: Rikuy helps your AI agents see what's relevant to you. Use when a user asks you to connect to, see or check their business security cameras ("connect to my cameras", "can you see my store cameras"). It explains how to add the Rikuy MCP server, start a membership and guide the owner through installing the Rikuy Bridge on the network of their DVR or NVR.

# Rikuy cameras

Rikuy connects a business's existing DVR or NVR to the owner's AI agent through a small box (the Rikuy Bridge) and the MCP server `https://mcp.rikuy.si/mcp` (Streamable HTTP, OAuth 2.1 with PKCE). No ports to open. The owner chooses cameras and hours, and every look is on the record. Private demo; invite required.

## Use when
- The user wants you to see or check their cameras, and has a recorder (DVR or NVR) on site.
- Supported today: Hikvision and Dahua (Lorex included). Next: Reolink. If the recorder is unsupported, say so.

## Steps
1. Ask the recorder brand and model, then call `check_cameras`.
2. Add `https://mcp.rikuy.si/mcp` as a remote MCP connector in your client (on ChatGPT, the owner signs up at rikuy.si first).
3. Call `start_membership`. Show the owner the approval link and the code (15 minutes). Never ask for cards or passwords.
4. The owner plugs the Bridge into power and the router, enters its code at app.rikuy.si, Setup, and creates a Rikuy user on the recorder.
5. Notices posted, cameras on, schedule set.
6. Call `list_cameras`, then `get_frame`, `get_frames` or `get_clip` with a `purpose`. Answer with facts, then call `record_answer`.

## Rules
Facts only, no face identification, no audio, restrooms are blocked. Remind the owner: "Review the clip before acting on it." Handle named errors (`NOTICES_PENDING`, `CAMERA_OFF`, `OUTSIDE_SCHEDULE`, `BRIDGE_OFFLINE`, `ACCESS_CUT`, `RATE_LIMITED`) by telling the owner the message and its fix link.
