Rikuy doesn't charge per look. But every frame your agent reads counts against the plan you already pay for, at Anthropic, OpenAI, xAI or Meta. So Rikuy sends compact frames and caps how many come in one look. Estimate for Claude, which counts about (width ÷ 28) × (height ÷ 28) tokens per image. Because we are learning from real stores. On Free, Rikuy may use anonymized look data and your corrections to improve Rikuy. Your video and clips are never sold or shared. Standard turns this off. ### What counts as a person? Someone who signs in to approve, read the activity or change the rules. Agents never count. Connect one or ten, the price does not change. ### What if I have more than 4 cameras or more than one store? Standard covers up to 3 locations with 16 cameras each. The Rikuy Bridge, a small box on the business network, connects the DVR or NVR the owner already has to you through the MCP server at https://mcp.rikuy.si/mcp. No ports to open. Say so honestly. - Your client must speak MCP with OAuth 2.1 and PKCE over Streamable HTTP. ## Steps 1. **Check compatibility.** Ask the brand and model of the recorder (usually on a label on the box). Call check\_cameras with brand and model. 2. **Add the connector.** Add https://mcp.rikuy.si/mcp as a remote MCP server in your client. In Claude: Settings, Connectors, Add custom connector. In Grok: grok.com/connectors, New Connector, Custom. In ChatGPT, the owner signs up at rikuy.si first (an OpenAI requirement), then connects the Rikuy plugin. Self-hosted clients such as Hermes Agent and OpenClaw add the URL as an HTTP MCP server. Muse and Gemini come after launch. 3. **Start the membership** (not on ChatGPT). Call start\_membership with business, locations, recorder and referred\_by\_agent. Show the owner the approval link (rikuy.si/approve) and the code; it expires in 15 minutes. The owner approves and, if needed, pays in their own browser. The Bridge slows its retries so this does not happen to you. ### Playback runs at real speed A recorder can only play back one or two streams at a time, so Rikuy queues requests and fetches short clips, up to 120 seconds. ### Never open a port Some Hikvision firmware has a known flaw that works without a password (CVE-2021-36260). The Bridge only dials out, so the recorder is never exposed. ### No new imports In June 2026 the FCC stopped new Hikvision and Dahua imports. The law does not say how long to keep the video, and it does not require anyone to watch it. Two other rules matter more day to day: no audio of conversations without everyone's consent, and no cameras where people undress. **Not legal advice.** This guide summarizes Florida statutes as we read them in October 2026. Ask a Florida lawyer about your store. ## Who the camera rule covers The rule is Florida Statutes 812.173, part of the Convenience Business Security Act. It applies to businesses that sell groceries, or groceries and gas, and are open at any time between 11 PM and 5 AM. It asks for "a security camera system capable of recording and retrieving an image." The act also lists exceptions, such as stores with five or more employees on duty at night, stores of 10,000 square feet or more, and stores where the owner or the owner's family works those hours. Read the statute for the current list before you rely on one. ## What the law does not say It sets no retention period and no review duty. A store can be fully compliant with a recorder that nobody has opened in a year. That gap is the reason Rikuy exists: the video is already there, it just is not read. ## Audio: leave it off Florida Statutes 934.03 makes it a crime to intercept a conversation without the consent of everyone in it. A violation is a third-degree felony. Many recorders capture audio by default, so check yours. Rikuy works with images only. The Rikuy Bridge drops audio at the store, before anything leaves the building. ## Restrooms and changing areas Florida Statutes 810.145, the video voyeurism law, bans recording where people undress, such as restrooms and changing areas. In Rikuy, a camera labeled restroom or changing area is blocked and cannot be turned on for any agent. ## Employees We did not find a Florida law that bans video in work areas. Secondary legal sources say an employer can monitor most of the workplace when there is a business reason. We did not find a Florida rule that requires written notice, but a posted notice is simple and fair, so Rikuy asks for one before any camera goes on. ## Sources 1. In February 2026, a Miami store manager was detained after $60,546.95 in scratch-off tickets went missing; the owner found out from the bank, not from the camera above the counter. The fix is rarely more cameras. It is putting the lottery terminal report next to the counter camera. ## Why it is hard to see A missing ticket does not look like anything. There is no empty shelf and no broken lock. The register and the lottery terminal record sales minute by minute, and the camera records the counter, but nobody has time to compare the two. Employee theft is not small change either. The Jack L. Hayes International survey of large retailers, with 2022 data, put the average dishonest employee case at $1,136.93. ## The record you already have Your lottery terminal report says how many tickets were sold, and when. Your register shows no-sales and voids. Both are written down. The only missing piece is someone who looks at the counter during those minutes. ## Put the two side by side Give your agent the terminal report and ask it to count what left the counter on camera. It searches the recording, compares the numbers and tells you which minutes do not add up. Pick three cameras, ask three questions every morning, and open a clip only when the answer does not add up. ## Pick the cameras that matter For most convenience stores that is the register, the lottery counter and the back door. Give each one a clear "what it sees" so your agent picks the right camera without guessing. ## Ask the same three questions How many scratch-offs left the counter, and how many did the terminal sell? Which voids or no-sales happened on the night shift, and what does the camera show at that minute? How many customers came in per hour, and how many transactions were there? ## Read the answer, then the clip The answer comes first, with the minutes that matter. Open the clip only for those minutes. Ten minutes covers a night that would take hours to scrub through. ## Keep the habit visible Every look is logged with the camera, the minutes, the question and the answer. Ask a Florida lawyer about your store. ## What the law says Florida Statutes 812.173 asks for a system that can record and retrieve an image. It does not set a number of days. If your insurer, your franchise or a lawyer gives you a period, follow it. ## What your recorder decides Days on disk depend on the number of cameras, the resolution, the frame rate and the size of the disk. A storage calculator gives you an estimate; the recorder's playback screen gives you the real oldest day. ## What Rikuy keeps, and what it does not Rikuy stores no video in its cloud. Quechua has another verb, qhaway, for looking on purpose, keeping watch. One of its senses is to watch someone without them knowing. We didn't want that word. Rikuy is seeing and realizing.
